Creating your wedding website is one of the fun parts of starting your wedding business. You have nailed your ideal client and know exactly who are you are talking to. Your website is beautifully presented, gorgeous images and you are dancing with delight as you hit that publish button.
Yet no one is seeing it? You aren't getting any enquiries and gradually that balloon is deflating.
So you start jumping over to social media, Instagram, posting pretty photos, your work, creating reels, stories, anything you can think of to get more eyes on your gorgeous wedding business.
Social media is great but it shouldn't be the only marketing you are doing for your wedding business.
Let me share a few tips with you to help you build out a stronger business without the overwhelm.
GET YOUR BUSINESS ON THE GOOGLE PLATFORM
Google is the number one search engine, it still ranks higher than any other search engines.
Go to the Google Business Page and register your business. Once you have listed your business on Google you then create a Google my Business account for your profile. A Google my Business means you can claim ownership of your Google Business Profile and access all the free features available to you to help you with your business listing.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY GOOGLE BUSINESS ACCOUNT?
Google Maps
Firstly it is added to Google maps, it means people searching for businesses in an area will find you listed. When potential couples are searching for their wedding, one of the first searches they will do is 'Wedding Venues London', 'Wedding Planners London'. They will be typing in the location of where they wish to host their wedding to find suppliers.
Opening Hours
You can tell customers your opening office or shop hours, let them know if you are closed over holidays or open for business.
Safety Procedures
You can state how your business is managing during the Pandemic, for example are customers required to wear masks, if they are required to make an appointment.
Photos and Videos
You can build out your Google Business Profile by adding images of your work, exterior and interiors of your business.
Photos of the products you sell and the weddings you work on.
Reviews
Ask your super gorgeous clients to leave Reviews for you on your Google Business Page. Statistics say that currently 63% of people will check out the Google Reviews.
Posts
Just as you would post a blog, or content into your Social Media, you can post onto Google. You spend time posting on Instagram but once posted it just fills up your content feed. Make that post work harder and get Google on it.
Quick and Easy
Getting your gorgeous wedding business on Google is easy, it takes maybe an hour or two and boom it is done for life. You can then just pop in there occasionally to post a few new images, a small blog post or update your business hours.
